Al Marjan Island is a growing waterfront destination in Ras Al Khaimah, with expanding opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, events, retail, construction and leisure services. The lifestyle is generally relaxed, sunny and family-friendly, with beaches, resorts, watersports and nearby desert and mountain activities. The UAE is culturally diverse, while local customs emphasize respect, modest dress in public places and considerate behavior during Ramadan. English is widely used at work, although Arabic is the official language. Employers normally arrange an employment visa, residence permit, medical testing and Emirates ID after hiring; employees should not work on a tourist visa. Relocation packages may include accommodation, transport, meals, medical insurance and flights, but these should be confirmed in writing. Living costs vary, and Ras Al Khaimah is often more affordable than Dubai or Abu Dhabi. Public transport is limited, so employer transport or a car can be valuable.
