Company Info

Fairmont Royal Pavilion is a luxury beachfront resort on Barbados’s west coast, operated by Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, part of Accor. The property is known for its elegant setting, personalised service, refined dining, watersports, and relaxed Caribbean hospitality. Located along a calm stretch of Holetown’s coastline, the resort welcomes leisure travellers, couples, families, and guests seeking an upscale island escape. As part of the international Accor group, Fairmont promotes high service standards, professional development, responsible hospitality, and a multicultural working environment. Destination Guide

Barbados offers employment opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, aviation, retail, healthcare, finance, construction, and customer service. Hospitality remains one of the largest sectors, particularly around Bridgetown, Holetown, St. Lawrence Gap, and the west coast. Barbadian culture blends African, British, and Caribbean influences, with friendly communities, English as the main language, lively music, cricket, festivals, and strong culinary traditions. The lifestyle is relaxed but can be expensive, especially for accommodation, imported food, and transport. Public buses and minibuses are widely used, while driving is on the left. Foreign nationals generally need a work permit arranged or supported by the employer before starting work; visa requirements depend on nationality and contract length. Seasonal workers should confirm accommodation, airfare, healthcare, taxes, permit costs, and employment benefits in writing. New arrivals should budget carefully, respect local customs, and allow time to adjust to the island’s slower pace and humid climate.
