Destination Guide

The UAE is not a single island, but Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah is a growing resort destination with opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, retail, construction, and events. The lifestyle combines a relaxed beach setting with modern facilities, desert activities, shopping, and easy access to Dubai. The culture is multicultural and welcoming, although Islamic customs, modest public behavior, and respect for local traditions are important. English is widely used in hospitality workplaces. Employers commonly sponsor work visas, medical checks, Emirates ID processing, and residency permits for overseas hires; benefits may also include accommodation or an allowance, transport, insurance, and annual airfare. Employees should confirm contract terms, probation rules, working hours, gratuity, and accommodation before relocating. Ras Al Khaimah is generally quieter and more affordable than Dubai, but transport planning is useful, especially for staff living away from the resort.
