Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers coastal city living, desert landscapes and mountain resorts such as Hatta. Hospitality creates opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, events, aviation and retail, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the broadest employment market. UAE workplaces are multicultural, professional and service-oriented; Arabic and English are widely used, while additional languages are valuable. Lifestyle options range from beaches, shopping and nightlife to outdoor activities, heritage sites and desert excursions. The climate is hot for much of the year, with milder winters. Most overseas employees require an employer-sponsored work visa, medical fitness checks, Emirates ID registration and a residence permit; the employer normally handles the process. Confirm contract terms covering salary, accommodation, transport, meals, insurance, flights and gratuity before relocating. Bring verified qualifications and passport documents, and budget for initial costs until payroll begins.
