Duties include changing linen, replenishing amenities, reporting maintenance issues, handling guest requests and following health, safety and security procedures. Candidates should have strong attention to detail, good personal presentation, reliability and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Mövenpick Hotel Wellington is part of Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts, an international hospitality brand known for Swiss-inspired service, comfortable accommodation and culinary experiences. The hotel operates under Accor, one of the world’s largest hospitality groups, with a broad portfolio ranging from economy and midscale hotels to luxury and lifestyle properties. Located in Wellington, the hotel serves business travellers, leisure guests, groups and visitors attending events in New Zealand’s capital. Accor promotes guest-focused service, professional development, inclusion and responsible hospitality through its global network. Employees may benefit from structured training, internal career opportunities and group-related accommodation or travel benefits, depending on local terms and eligibility. In this role, the successful candidate contributes directly to the clean, welcoming environment that shapes guests’ overall hotel experience.
New Zealand offers hospitality opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, cafés, tourism attractions and seasonal destinations. Wellington has a diverse, creative culture, excellent cafés, museums, live music and a strong connection to the arts and public sector. Lifestyle benefits include access to beaches, walking trails, national parks and a generally relaxed work-life balance, although housing and transport costs can be high in major cities. English is the main workplace language, and Māori and Pacific cultures are important parts of national identity. Overseas applicants generally need the legal right to work, such as a suitable work visa. The Accredited Employer Work Visa may apply when an approved employer offers an eligible position. Applicants should check Immigration New Zealand for current rules, salary thresholds and documentation. Relocation planning should include accommodation, tax registration, banking, transport and health insurance considerations.
