Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers a highly international lifestyle across Dubai, Abu Dhabi and the other emirates. Hospitality creates regular opportunities for baristas, chefs, servers, housekeeping staff, supervisors and hotel managers, particularly in luxury hotels, restaurants and tourism venues. The culture blends Emirati traditions with communities from around the world; modest dress and respect for local customs are important. Dubai provides excellent shopping, dining, beaches, public transport and entertainment, although accommodation and living costs can be high. Most overseas employees require employer-sponsored residence and work visas. Employers commonly arrange medical checks, Emirates ID processing and sometimes accommodation, transport, meals or flights. Candidates should confirm salary, service charge, working hours, leave, housing and visa responsibilities before accepting an offer. A valid passport, authenticated documents and a medical fitness examination may be required for relocation.
