Destination Guide

Indonesia is an archipelago with strong opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, diving, wellness, and events, especially in Bali, Jakarta, Lombok, and other major destinations. Bali offers a relaxed but busy lifestyle, warm weather, beaches, temples, ceremonies, and a welcoming international community. Respect for local customs is important: dress modestly at temples, observe religious ceremonies, and learn basic Indonesian greetings. Living costs vary; staff accommodation or meals can significantly reduce expenses. Foreign interns must obtain the correct internship or work-authorized visa before starting, and requirements can change, so confirm details with the employer, Indonesian immigration, and the relevant embassy. A tourist visa generally does not permit employment or internships. Arrange insurance, passport validity, accommodation, transport, and emergency contacts before relocation.
