Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest hospitality job markets. Opportunities are common in hotels, restaurants, resorts, airlines, retail, events, and tourism. The culture is multicultural and welcoming, while Islamic traditions influence public conduct, dress, and holidays. Dubai offers a fast-paced lifestyle, modern transport, international dining, beaches, shopping, and extensive entertainment, although rent and summer heat can be challenging. Most overseas employees need an employer-sponsored residence visa and work permit; the employer normally arranges medical testing, Emirates ID processing, and related approvals. Before relocating, confirm salary, accommodation, transport, insurance, working hours, leave, probation, and recruitment fees in writing. Bring authenticated documents where requested and budget for initial expenses. Respect local laws, avoid working on a tourist visa, and check official UAE requirements before travel.
