Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island country, although Dubai is built around a coastal peninsula and several artificial islands. Hospitality is one of the region’s largest employment sectors, with opportunities in hotels, restaurants, resorts, tourism, retail, aviation, and events. UAE culture blends Emirati traditions with a highly international population; respectful dress, punctuality, and awareness of Islamic customs are important. Dubai offers a modern lifestyle, excellent public transport, beaches, shopping, dining, and year-round entertainment, but summer temperatures are extremely hot and living costs can be high. Most foreign workers require employer-sponsored residency and a work permit. Employers commonly arrange visa processing, medical testing, Emirates ID registration, and sometimes accommodation or transport. Candidates should confirm salary, benefits, working hours, accommodation, probation terms, and recruitment fees before relocating. English is widely used, while Arabic is the official language.
