Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest concentration of hospitality, tourism, events, retail, aviation, and business opportunities. The culture combines Islamic traditions, Emirati heritage, and a highly international workforce. Dubai offers a fast-paced lifestyle, modern infrastructure, beaches, dining, shopping, and extensive leisure activities, though accommodation and schooling can be expensive. Employers normally sponsor an expatriate’s employment visa, residence permit, medical examination, and Emirates ID after an approved job offer; working without the correct permit is not allowed. Candidates should verify contract terms, salary, accommodation or allowance, insurance, flights, gratuity, and probation conditions. Relocating employees should budget for housing deposits, transport, and document attestation. Respectful clothing and conduct are expected, especially during Ramadan and in government settings.
