Job Description

The Demi Chef supports the kitchen team with food preparation, cooking, plating and maintaining consistent quality across hotel food and beverage operations. Candidates are generally expected to have commercial kitchen experience, sound knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards, good knife and preparation skills, and the ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately. A relevant cookery qualification, such as Certificate III in Commercial Cookery, is advantageous. The role requires teamwork, reliability, attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently during busy service periods, including weekends and public holidays. The successful candidate should maintain a clean, organised workstation and contribute positively to the kitchen culture.
