Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is a modern Gulf destination rather than a single island, offering strong opportunities in luxury hotels, restaurants, tourism, aviation, retail, and events. Dubai provides an international lifestyle, excellent transport, beaches, shopping, entertainment, and a diverse expatriate community. The culture values hospitality, family, modesty, and respect for Islamic customs; appropriate dress and behaviour are important in public places, especially during Ramadan. Summers are extremely hot, while winter offers comfortable outdoor weather. Most overseas employees require employer-sponsored residence and work visas, with the company typically arranging medical checks, Emirates ID, and work permits. Before relocating, confirm accommodation, transport, insurance, flights, gratuity, working hours, and probation terms. Living costs can be high, particularly for housing, although hotel roles may include accommodation, meals, transport, and other benefits.
