Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi offering the largest number of hospitality, retail, aviation, tourism, and service-sector opportunities. The culture blends Islamic traditions with a highly international lifestyle; modest dress and respectful behavior are important, particularly during Ramadan. Dubai offers modern housing, extensive public transport, beaches, shopping, dining, and year-round entertainment, although summer temperatures are extremely high. Employers usually sponsor work visas for overseas hires, arrange medical testing and Emirates ID processing, and may provide accommodation or transport. Employees should confirm salary, service charge, working hours, accommodation, meals, insurance, annual leave, and airfare terms before accepting an offer. Living costs can be high, especially for private housing, so shared accommodation and budgeting are common for entry-level workers.
