Destination Guide

Indonesia is an archipelago, and this role is based on Java Island in Jakarta, the country’s largest business and hospitality hub. Hotels, restaurants, tourism companies, resorts, and cruise-related businesses offer opportunities for candidates with service experience, while Bali, Lombok, Batam, and the Riau Islands are popular destinations for tourism work. Indonesian culture values politeness, hospitality, community, and respect for religious traditions. Jakarta offers extensive shopping, dining, entertainment, and public transport, but also heavy traffic, humidity, and a relatively high cost of living. Bali provides a more relaxed lifestyle but can be competitive and seasonal. Foreign nationals normally require employer sponsorship and an appropriate work permit and stay visa; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Before relocating, confirm salary, accommodation, benefits, contract terms, medical coverage, and official immigration arrangements with the employer.
