Company Info

Queen Elizabeth 2, commonly known as QE2, is a historic ocean liner permanently berthed at Port Rashid in Dubai and operated as a floating hotel, dining, entertainment, and events destination. Originally launched in 1969, the ship became one of the world's best-known passenger liners before beginning its new life in Dubai. Guests can stay in maritime-themed rooms and suites, dine in several restaurants and bars, explore preserved ship areas, and attend live entertainment or private events. The property forms part of Accor's hospitality environment, giving employees exposure to international hotel standards and a diverse guest base. Working at QE2 suits people who enjoy heritage hospitality, high-volume food and beverage operations, and an unusual workplace with a strong connection to maritime history.

Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but Dubai offers a coastal lifestyle with beaches, waterfront dining, shopping, desert excursions, and year-round hospitality opportunities. Hotels, restaurants, resorts, cruise facilities, and event venues regularly recruit international staff, especially in guest service, food and beverage, housekeeping, and culinary roles. The culture is multicultural and generally welcoming, while local customs emphasize respectful dress, politeness, and sensitivity toward religion and public behavior. Dubai is modern, busy, and generally safe, though rent and transport costs can be high without employer support. Summers are extremely hot, so indoor facilities and air-conditioned transport are important. Most overseas employees need an employment visa sponsored by their employer; the company commonly arranges medical testing, Emirates ID processing, and residency formalities. Confirm accommodation, transport, insurance, leave, airfare, and gratuity terms before relocating.
