Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but Abu Dhabi offers a coastal lifestyle with beaches, waterfront promenades and nearby islands such as Yas and Saadiyat. Hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, construction, finance, healthcare and technology provide strong employment opportunities, particularly in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The culture blends Islamic traditions with a highly international population; modest dress and respect for local customs are appreciated. Lifestyle options range from luxury shopping and dining to desert trips, water sports and cultural attractions. Foreign employees normally require employer sponsorship, a work permit, medical checks and a UAE residence visa; employers commonly arrange the main visa process. Relocation packages may include accommodation, transport, medical insurance or flights, but this varies by contract. The climate is very hot in summer, while winters are warm and comfortable. Employees should confirm salary, housing, working hours, benefits and visa terms before accepting an offer.
