Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, although this position is based on Marjan Island, a coastal development in Ras Al Khaimah. The UAE offers many opportunities in hotels, resorts, restaurants, tourism, retail, aviation, construction, healthcare, and technology. Life combines modern cities, beaches, desert activities, shopping, and a diverse expatriate community. Emirati culture values hospitality, family, modest dress, and respect for Islamic customs; Arabic is the official language, while English is widely used at work. For most overseas hospitality hires, the employer arranges an employment visa, medical examination, Emirates ID, and work permit. Candidates should confirm contract terms, accommodation, meals, transport, insurance, annual leave, and return-flight benefits before relocating. Ras Al Khaimah is generally quieter and less expensive than Dubai, but employees should budget for personal spending and learn local laws before arrival.
