Destination Guide

Qatar is a modern peninsula rather than an island, while Qetaifan Island North is a developing leisure destination near Lusail. Hospitality offers opportunities in hotels, restaurants, resorts, events, tourism, and guest services, especially for people with strong English and international experience. Qatar’s culture values respect, modest dress, family life, and Islamic traditions; alcohol is restricted to licensed venues. The lifestyle is safe, convenient, and cosmopolitan, with excellent malls, beaches, museums, dining, and desert activities, although summers are extremely hot. Most overseas hotel employees receive employer-sponsored work visas, a contract, medical checks, and sometimes accommodation, meals, transport, medical insurance, and annual airfare. Confirm every benefit before accepting an offer and never work on a tourist visa. Lusail and Doha have modern public transport, taxis, and ride-hailing services. New arrivals should budget carefully, carry certified documents, and learn local rules concerning photography, public behavior, and Ramadan.
