Destination Guide

Spain’s main island destinations include Ibiza, Mallorca, Menorca, Formentera, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. Tourism creates regular opportunities in hotels, restaurants, bars, events, wellness, transport and outdoor activities, with the strongest hiring periods generally from spring through autumn. Ibiza is internationally known for music and nightlife, but it also offers quieter villages, beaches and a strong Mediterranean food culture. Island life is sociable and outdoors-oriented, although housing can be expensive and seasonal accommodation is limited. EU, EEA and Swiss citizens can work in Spain with the required registration and social-security arrangements. Non-EU applicants normally need an appropriate work or internship visa arranged before arrival; requirements depend on nationality and contract type. Candidates should confirm pay, accommodation, meals, insurance, transport and working hours before relocating. Spanish is useful, while English is widely used in tourism.
