Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it is a popular relocation destination on the Arabian Peninsula, especially for hospitality professionals. Dubai offers frequent opportunities in hotels, restaurants, tourism, events and luxury retail, while Abu Dhabi and Ras Al Khaimah also have expanding resort markets. The culture combines Emirati traditions with a large international community; modest dress and respectful behaviour are expected in public and workplaces. Lifestyle options include beaches, shopping, dining, desert activities and a busy social scene, although summer temperatures are extremely high. Employers normally sponsor a work visa, residence permit, medical examination and Emirates ID for eligible employees. Confirm whether accommodation, transport, meals, insurance and service charge are included before accepting an offer. Candidates should budget for deposits, initial living costs and document attestation, and should never pay recruitment or visa fees to an unverified agency.
