Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers a highly international Gulf lifestyle, with Dubai and Abu Dhabi providing the largest employment markets. Opportunities are strong in aviation, cargo, logistics, tourism, retail, construction, technology, finance, and healthcare. UAE workplaces are multicultural, professional, and generally English-friendly, while Islamic traditions influence public etiquette, holidays, and working practices. Dubai offers modern housing, beaches, shopping, restaurants, and extensive public transport, although rent and schooling can be expensive. Employers normally arrange an employment visa, residence permit, medical examination, and Emirates ID after hiring; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Candidates should confirm sponsorship, accommodation or housing allowances, insurance, flights, and probation terms before relocating. The climate is extremely hot in summer, so outdoor airport roles require heat-management awareness.
