Emirates is one of the world’s leading international airlines and the principal airline of the Emirates Group, headquartered in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The airline operates an extensive global network from Dubai, serving destinations across the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe, the Americas and Australasia. Its business includes passenger and cargo operations, airport services, catering, engineering, travel services and other aviation-related activities. Emirates is recognised for its large wide-body fleet, international workforce and focus on customer service, operational performance and technology. Employees may work in a multicultural environment supporting complex global systems and services. The group also invests in professional development, national talent programmes and Emiratisation, creating opportunities for UAE nationals across corporate, technical, operational and specialist functions.
Although the UAE is not an island, it offers a highly international lifestyle centred on cities such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi, with beaches, desert landscapes, shopping, cultural attractions and year-round sunshine. Employment opportunities are strong in aviation, logistics, technology, finance, tourism, healthcare and construction. UAE culture combines Islamic traditions, hospitality and modern cosmopolitan living; respectful dress and behaviour are important, particularly during Ramadan. Most expatriates live in furnished apartments and rely on cars, taxis or public transport. Employers commonly provide health insurance and may offer housing or travel benefits. UAE nationals have access to Emiratisation opportunities such as this role. Foreign employees generally need employer-sponsored residence and work visas, while UAE nationals do not require sponsorship. New residents should arrange Emirates ID, medical checks and a local bank account, and budget carefully for Dubai or Abu Dhabi living costs.
