Destination Guide

Malaysia is not one island but a country with two main regions: Peninsular Malaysia and Malaysian Borneo, plus popular islands including Langkawi, Penang, Tioman, and Perhentian. Hospitality, tourism, retail, logistics, technology, finance, and healthcare provide strong job opportunities, especially in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor, Kota Kinabalu, and resort destinations. The culture is multicultural, combining Malay, Chinese, Indian, Indigenous, and international influences; English is widely used in business. Lifestyle ranges from busy city living to relaxed beach and rainforest environments, with generally affordable food and transport. Foreign employees normally require an employer-sponsored Employment Pass, and the company must meet immigration requirements before work begins. Candidates should confirm salary, accommodation, medical coverage, relocation support, and dependent-pass eligibility. Malaysia’s tropical climate, diverse cuisine, and comparatively moderate living costs make relocation attractive.
