Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers a coastal lifestyle with beaches, waterfront promenades, and easy access to islands such as Yas Island, Saadiyat Island, and Palm Jumeirah. Hospitality is a major employer, creating opportunities in hotels, restaurants, resorts, events, aviation, and tourism. The culture combines Emirati traditions with a large international community; modest dress and respectful behaviour are appreciated, particularly during Ramadan. Life is modern and convenient, though Dubai and Abu Dhabi can be expensive. Employers commonly arrange a work permit, residence visa, medical screening, and Emirates ID, while benefits may include accommodation or an allowance, transport, meals, and insurance. Candidates should confirm contract terms, recruitment costs, housing, and probation conditions before relocating.
