Company Info

Shangri-La is a luxury hospitality group founded in Asia and recognised internationally for its hotels, resorts and distinctive service culture. The group operates properties across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and other destinations under the Shangri-La, Kerry, JEN and Traders brands. Its Philippine portfolio includes major city hotels and island resorts, serving business travellers, families, groups and luxury leisure guests. Shangri-La places strong emphasis on genuine hospitality, guest satisfaction, employee development and responsible business practices. An Information Technology Manager typically supports the smooth operation of guest-facing and back-office systems, helping hotel departments deliver efficient, secure and consistent service. Destination Guide

The Philippines offers varied opportunities in hotel operations, information technology, tourism, finance, engineering and customer service. Major employment centres include Manila, Cebu, Clark and Davao, while resort destinations such as Boracay, Palawan, Bohol and Mactan provide hospitality-focused careers. Filipino culture is warm, family-oriented and community-minded, with English widely used in workplaces. Life can be relaxed and affordable outside Manila, although island locations may have higher transport and imported-goods costs. Expect tropical weather, busy urban traffic and occasional typhoons. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and an appropriate employment visa; requirements can include immigration approval, Department of Labor documentation and medical or police clearances. Employers often assist with the process, but applicants should confirm current rules with the Philippine Bureau of Immigration and their employer. Relocating staff should budget for housing, utilities, healthcare, flights and local transportation.
