Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact island city-state with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, aviation, technology, finance, healthcare, and logistics. Hotel roles are concentrated around Orchard Road, Marina Bay, Sentosa, and the airport, and international experience is valued. Life is safe, clean, efficient, and multicultural, with excellent public transport, diverse food, shopping, parks, and coastal attractions. Housing can be expensive, especially near central districts, so many employees share apartments or live farther out along MRT lines. English is widely used at work, while Mandarin, Malay, and Tamil are also common. Foreign hires generally need employer sponsorship for a valid work pass, such as an Employment Pass, S Pass, or Work Permit, depending on qualifications, salary, and occupation. The employer normally submits the application, and approval is not guaranteed. Candidates should confirm salary, accommodation, medical coverage, working hours, and relocation support before accepting an offer.
