Destination Guide

Indonesia is an archipelago of more than 17,000 islands, with the strongest hospitality and business opportunities concentrated in Java, Bali, Lombok, Batam, and major cities such as Jakarta and Surabaya. Jakarta offers corporate sales, hotels, tourism, finance, and retail careers, while Bali provides resort, events, wellness, and guest-service roles. Indonesian workplace culture generally values respect for hierarchy, teamwork, relationship-building, and polite communication. Lifestyle ranges from fast-paced urban living to relaxed beach and island communities, with varied costs depending on location. Foreign professionals usually need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate limited-stay visa; working without authorization is not permitted. Relocating candidates should confirm sponsorship, accommodation, healthcare, taxes, and contract terms before arrival. Learning basic Bahasa Indonesia, respecting religious customs, and adapting to local traffic and climate will make settling in easier.
