Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah, with extensive coastlines and popular island destinations. Hospitality offers many opportunities in hotels, restaurants, cafés, resorts, events, aviation, and tourism, particularly in Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The culture combines Emirati traditions with a highly international working environment; modest dress and respect for Islamic customs are important. Life is modern and convenient, with excellent transport, shopping, beaches, dining, and entertainment, although summer heat and living costs can be significant. Most overseas employees require an employer-sponsored residence visa and work permit. Employers commonly arrange medical checks, Emirates ID processing, health insurance, and sometimes accommodation, meals, or transport. Before relocating, candidates should confirm the contract, benefits, probation terms, working hours, and visa sponsorship, and budget carefully for deposits and personal expenses.
