Destination Guide

Singapore is a compact, highly developed island city-state with strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, finance, technology, healthcare and logistics. Its multicultural society blends Chinese, Malay, Indian and international influences, reflected in its food, festivals and languages. The lifestyle is safe, efficient and urban, with excellent public transport, shopping, dining and access to parks and waterfront areas. Housing can be expensive, especially near central districts, so many employees consider shared accommodation or locations close to MRT lines. Foreign nationals generally need an employer-sponsored work pass, such as an Employment Pass, S Pass or Work Permit, subject to current eligibility rules and quotas. Employers commonly provide guidance on applications, while candidates should confirm salary, housing, medical coverage and relocation support before accepting an offer.
