Destination Guide

Thailand offers hospitality opportunities in Bangkok, Phuket, Koh Samui, Krabi, Pattaya, Chiang Mai and other resort destinations. Island jobs are common in luxury hotels, restaurants, villas, beach clubs and wellness resorts, with demand for chefs, pastry specialists, housekeeping and guest-service professionals. Thai culture values politeness, respect for hierarchy, hospitality and adaptability. Island life is generally relaxed and outdoors-focused, but can be seasonal, humid and more expensive in popular tourist areas. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored Non-Immigrant B visa and a Thai work permit before working legally; the employer usually assists with the process. A passport, qualifications, employment contract, medical checks and police documentation may be required. Accommodation, transport, meals and service charge should be confirmed in writing. Thailand is not a single island: Phuket and Koh Samui are major employment hubs, while smaller islands offer a quieter lifestyle but fewer services.
