Destination Guide

The Philippines offers IT opportunities in Manila, Cebu, Clark, and major resort destinations, with demand in hospitality, business services, banking, telecommunications, and technology. Manila provides the widest career market and urban conveniences, while Cebu combines strong employment options with a more relaxed coastal lifestyle. Resort locations such as Boracay, Palawan, and Mactan offer a slower pace, beaches, and tourism-focused work, although salaries and services may vary. Filipino culture is welcoming, family-oriented, social, and respectful, and English is widely used professionally. Living costs depend heavily on location; housing and transport are generally more affordable outside central Manila. Filipino citizens need no visa to work locally. Foreign employees normally require an Alien Employment Permit and a 9(g) pre-arranged employment visa, sponsored by the employer. Candidates should confirm requirements, housing, healthcare, taxes, and relocation support before accepting an offer.
