Job Description

The Assistant Director of Engineering supports the Director of Engineering in managing hotel facilities, utilities, plant rooms and preventive-maintenance programmes. Candidates typically need a diploma or degree in mechanical, electrical, civil or building services engineering, together with several years of hotel or commercial-property maintenance experience. Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, fire protection, occupational safety and local regulations is expected. The role requires leadership, budgeting, contractor supervision and the ability to respond quickly to breakdowns or emergencies.
