Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island, but it offers a coastal lifestyle with beaches, islands, deserts, and modern cities such as Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Hospitality is a major employer, creating opportunities in hotels, restaurants, resorts, catering, and tourism. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a large international community; modest dress, respectful behavior, and awareness of Islamic customs are important. Lifestyle options range from shopping, dining, and nightlife to water sports, desert trips, and cultural attractions. Most foreign employees need an employer-sponsored residence and work visa. The employer normally arranges medical testing, Emirates ID processing, and work authorization, while the employee must provide valid passport and qualification documents. Before relocating, confirm accommodation, meals, transport, insurance, leave, airfare, probation terms, and salary or service-charge details in writing. Summers are extremely hot, so air-conditioned housing and workplaces are especially valuable.
