Lifestyle is convenient and safe, supported by excellent public transport, diverse food, shopping, parks and beaches, although housing and daily expenses can be high. Hospitality employees commonly work shifts, weekends and public holidays. Employers usually guide successful applicants through the application process. Before relocating, budget for accommodation deposits, transport, medical checks and insurance, and verify contract terms, service charges and benefits. Singapore’s tropical climate is hot and humid year-round, with frequent rain.
