Shangri-La is a luxury hospitality group founded in Hong Kong and recognised internationally for its hotels, resorts and distinctive Asian-inspired service. The group operates properties across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and other major destinations under the Shangri-La brand and related hospitality concepts. Its hotels typically offer accommodation, restaurants and bars, conference and event facilities, wellness services and business travel support. Shangri-La places strong emphasis on warm hospitality, personalised guest experiences, professionalism and employee development. A Sales Coordinator in Hong Kong would usually work closely with the sales, events, marketing and hotel operations teams, supporting corporate accounts, group business, meetings and client relationships. The role offers exposure to luxury hotel operations and the commercial side of a major international hospitality company.

Destination Guide

Hong Kong offers strong opportunities in hospitality, finance, retail, technology, aviation and international business, with hotels frequently recruiting in sales, events, front office, food and beverage and operations. The culture combines Cantonese traditions with a highly international, fast-paced working environment. Residents enjoy excellent public transport, diverse dining, shopping, vibrant nightlife, hiking trails and nearby beaches, although housing is expensive and living space can be limited. Overseas professionals generally need an employment visa sponsored by an eligible employer; the employer normally submits the application, and approval depends on qualifications, salary, relevant experience and the availability of a genuine position. New arrivals should budget carefully for rent, deposits, transport and healthcare, and arrange accommodation before starting work. Hong Kong’s efficient MTR network makes commuting practical, including from areas outside the central districts.
