Its portfolio includes the Shangri-La, Kerry, JEN and Traders brands. The group is known for high-quality service, premium accommodation, dining, wellness facilities and destination experiences. Shangri-La employs people across hotel operations, finance, technology, sales, engineering and corporate functions. Employees can typically expect a multinational working environment, structured professional standards and opportunities to work with colleagues and stakeholders across different countries.
Hong Kong offers strong opportunities in hospitality, finance, accounting, technology, retail and professional services. The city has a fast-paced, international culture where Cantonese is widely spoken, while English is common in business and hotels. Lifestyle options range from dense urban districts, restaurants and shopping to hiking trails, beaches and outlying islands. Housing is expensive, especially near Central, Admiralty and Kowloon business areas, so many professionals choose smaller apartments or locations connected by the efficient MTR network. Overseas employees normally need an employment visa sponsored by their employer, with approval depending on qualifications, salary and whether the role cannot be readily filled locally. Dependants may usually apply for dependant visas. New arrivals should arrange accommodation, banking, medical coverage and tax registration, and budget carefully for rent, transport and daily expenses.
