Destination Guide

Indonesia offers hospitality opportunities across Java, Bali, Lombok, Batam and other resort islands. Jakarta, on Java, provides the largest corporate and hotel market, while Bali is especially strong for luxury resorts, tourism, events and wellness. The culture is diverse, welcoming and community-oriented, with Muslim, Hindu, Christian and local traditions influencing daily life. Lifestyle ranges from busy urban living to relaxed beach communities, although traffic, humidity and seasonal tourism can affect working conditions. Foreign employees generally require employer sponsorship and an appropriate Indonesian work permit and stay visa; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers may assist with documentation, accommodation and relocation, but candidates should confirm tax, insurance and visa details before accepting an offer. Learning basic Indonesian is helpful, even in international hotels.
