The Lifeguard is responsible for protecting guests at the resort pool or beachfront, maintaining constant supervision, enforcing safety rules and responding quickly to emergencies. Candidates should hold a valid lifeguarding, CPR and first-aid certification, be confident swimmers and have good knowledge of water-rescue procedures. Previous experience in a hotel, resort, pool or beach environment is preferred. The role requires alertness, physical fitness, good communication skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure. The successful candidate is expected to provide friendly guest service, complete safety inspections, keep accurate incident records and work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays. A professional appearance and willingness to follow Shangri-La service standards are also important.
