Destination Guide

The United Arab Emirates is not an island but a federation of seven emirates, including Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Ras Al Khaimah. Hospitality, tourism, aviation, retail, construction, healthcare, technology, and finance offer substantial employment opportunities. The culture blends Emirati traditions with a large international community; modest dress, courtesy, and respect for Islamic customs are important. Lifestyle options range from modern city living and beaches to desert activities, shopping, and cultural sites. Summers are extremely hot, while winters are pleasant. Employers usually sponsor work visas and residence permits, with medical checks and official documentation required after arrival. Confirm that the employer covers visa processing, accommodation, transport, insurance, and flights before relocating. Living costs vary considerably, and Dubai and Abu Dhabi are generally more expensive than other emirates.
