The Sales Executive supports the hotel’s sales strategy by developing corporate, leisure, group and event accounts, conducting client visits, responding to enquiries, preparing proposals, arranging site inspections and maintaining accurate sales records. Candidates should generally have a diploma or degree in hospitality, business or a related discipline, previous hotel or sales experience, strong communication and negotiation skills, and good knowledge of the Hong Kong market. Fluency in English and Cantonese is typically expected; Mandarin is advantageous. The successful candidate should be target-focused, well organised, confident with clients, commercially aware and able to build long-term relationships while delivering Shangri-La’s service standards.
Shangri-La is a luxury hospitality group founded in Hong Kong and recognised for its Asian-inspired service, refined accommodation and extensive international presence. The group operates hotels, resorts and related hospitality businesses across Asia, the Middle East, Europe, North America and other destinations. Its properties serve business travellers, leisure guests, meetings and events customers, and long-stay residents. Shangri-La places strong emphasis on genuine hospitality, personalised guest care, colleague development and responsible business practices. In Hong Kong, the company operates well-known luxury properties and offers career opportunities across hotel operations, sales, food and beverage, finance, engineering and corporate functions. Employees typically work in a multicultural environment with structured service standards, training and opportunities to progress within the wider group.
Hong Kong offers strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, luxury retail, finance, technology and international business. Hotel sales professionals benefit from a competitive market serving corporate travellers, events, mainland Chinese visitors and regional tourism. The culture blends Cantonese traditions, international influences, efficient urban living and a fast-paced work ethic. Lifestyle options range from high-rise city living, excellent public transport and diverse dining to hiking, beaches and outlying islands. Most expatriates live in areas such as Hong Kong Island, Kowloon or the New Territories; rents can be high, especially near central business districts. Overseas employees generally need an employment visa sponsored by an eligible employer, with proof of qualifications and relevant experience. Dependants may qualify for dependant visas. Relocating candidates should budget for housing deposits, healthcare, transport and daily expenses, and confirm visa, tax and employment conditions directly with Shangri-La.
