Destination Guide

Indonesia offers hospitality opportunities across Bali, Java, Lombok, and other resort islands, especially in hotels, restaurants, tourism, and events. Bali is the most international option, with a lively expatriate community, strong tourism infrastructure, and higher living costs in areas such as Seminyak, Canggu, and Ubud. Lombok and smaller islands provide a quieter lifestyle but fewer services and job openings. Indonesian culture values warmth, respect, family, religious diversity, and community traditions; modest dress and local customs should be observed. Coastal living is attractive, although traffic, seasonal tourism, humidity, and occasional infrastructure limitations can affect daily life. Foreign employees generally need employer sponsorship, an appropriate work permit, and a limited-stay visa before starting work. Employers commonly assist with immigration and relocation, but requirements should be confirmed with the hotel and Indonesian authorities.
