Destination Guide

Indonesia offers hospitality opportunities across Bali, Java, Lombok, Batam, and other resort islands. Bali has the largest international tourism sector, with jobs in hotels, restaurants, villas, and beach resorts, while Jakarta and major cities on Java provide broader year-round employment. The culture is diverse, welcoming, and strongly influenced by local traditions, religion, family life, and community ceremonies. Lifestyle ranges from busy urban living to relaxed coastal communities, with generally affordable food and transport, although housing in popular areas can be costly. Foreign nationals normally need an employer-sponsored work permit and appropriate work visa; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Applicants should confirm sponsorship, accommodation, medical cover, contract terms, and relocation costs before accepting an offer. Indonesian language skills are useful, while English is commonly required in international hotels.
