Destination Guide

Indonesia offers hospitality opportunities across Java, Bali, Lombok, Batam, and other resort islands. Bali has the largest concentration of international hotels, restaurants, villas, and tourism businesses, while Jakarta, Surabaya, and other major cities provide year-round urban hotel employment. Indonesian culture is generally welcoming, community-oriented, and respectful of religious traditions; learning basic Bahasa Indonesia is very useful. Lifestyle varies from busy city living to relaxed coastal communities, with affordable local food and transport, although rents in popular areas can be high. Foreign employees must normally obtain employer-sponsored work authorization and a suitable KITAS or work visa before starting employment; working on a tourist visa is not permitted. Employers may assist with immigration paperwork, accommodation, airport transfers, and relocation, but this should be confirmed in writing. Prepare certified qualifications, references, passport documents, and medical records before moving.
