Destination Guide

Australia offers opportunities in banking, financial services, technology, healthcare, construction, education, engineering, trades and professional services. Adelaide has a relaxed pace, lower housing costs than Sydney or Melbourne, good food and wine, beaches, parks and a strong arts and festival culture. Workplace culture is generally collaborative, practical and relatively informal, with emphasis on communication, safety and work-life balance. Major cities provide public transport, while regional areas may require a car. Skilled professionals usually need an employer-sponsored visa, skilled independent or state-nominated visa, or another eligible work-right pathway; requirements vary by occupation and personal circumstances. Relocating involves arranging accommodation, tax and banking registration, healthcare access and a tax file number. Check current visa rules with Australia’s Department of Home Affairs. International applicants should confirm that the employer can sponsor the relevant position before accepting an offer.
