Job Description

The Leading Hand / Dispatch role supports the safe, accurate and timely dispatch of steel products during the day shift. Typical requirements include experience in dispatch, warehousing, manufacturing or logistics; the ability to coordinate people and workloads; sound computer and inventory-system skills; and strong safety awareness. A forklift, crane or relevant materials-handling licence may be required, depending on the site. Candidates are expected to lead by example, check orders and documentation, organise loading activities, communicate effectively with drivers and internal teams, and maintain housekeeping and productivity standards. Reliability, physical fitness, attention to detail and a willingness to follow BlueScope’s safety and quality procedures are important.
