Destination Guide

Japan offers opportunities in hospitality, engineering, technology, tourism, healthcare, education, and international business. Major destinations such as Tokyo, Osaka, Kyoto, and Okinawa provide different lifestyles, from fast-paced city living to quieter coastal communities. Japanese culture values punctuality, respect, cleanliness, teamwork, and careful attention to detail. Daily life is generally safe and convenient, with excellent public transport, though housing and commuting costs can be high in major cities. Foreign professionals normally need an employer-sponsored work visa, and the job must fit an approved immigration category; the company usually supports the application. A valid passport, employment contract, qualifications, and background documents are commonly required. Learning basic Japanese is strongly recommended for shopping, administration, workplace communication, and building relationships. Relocating employees should budget for housing deposits, transport, insurance, taxes, and settling-in costs.
