Job Description

The Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, inspecting, troubleshooting and repairing hotel equipment, machinery, vehicles and related mechanical systems. Candidates are generally expected to have vocational training, technical certification or relevant hands-on experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in a hotel, resort, commercial building or facilities environment. The role requires knowledge of preventive maintenance, pumps, motors, plumbing-related equipment and basic mechanical systems. The successful candidate should be safety-conscious, physically capable, dependable and comfortable responding to maintenance requests quickly. Good communication, teamwork, attention to detail and the ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays are important. Experience with computerized maintenance systems and knowledge of health and safety procedures would be advantageous.
