Destination Guide

Seychelles offers hospitality, tourism, marine conservation, retail, construction, healthcare, and professional services opportunities, with tourism remaining the largest source of employment. The culture blends African, European, and Asian influences, and Seychellois Creole, English, and French are widely used. Life is relaxed and outdoors-oriented, with beaches, hiking, diving, sailing, and a warm tropical climate. Mahé has the greatest range of services, restaurants, transport, and employment, although living costs are high and rental accommodation can be limited. Foreign workers generally need a Gainful Occupation Permit (GOP), which is normally arranged and sponsored by the employer before employment begins. Candidates should confirm whether accommodation, meals, flights, medical cover, and relocation assistance are included. Work permits, health requirements, and contract conditions should be checked with the employer and Seychelles authorities before travelling.
