Destination Guide

Australia offers strong opportunities in hospitality, tourism, events, accommodation, restaurants and resort operations, especially in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth, regional tourism areas and wine regions such as the Hunter Valley. Workplace culture is generally informal, practical and team-oriented, with emphasis on customer service, reliability, workplace safety and clear communication. The lifestyle includes excellent beaches, national parks, sport, multicultural food and a relatively high standard of living, although housing and transport costs can be significant. Overseas applicants usually need a valid work visa, such as a Working Holiday visa, employer-sponsored visa or another eligible skilled or temporary visa. Requirements depend on nationality, age, occupation and qualifications. Relocating to regional areas may offer lower living costs and a relaxed lifestyle, but access to public transport can be limited. Applicants should confirm visa rules through Australia’s Department of Home Affairs and secure accommodation, tax registration and health insurance before arrival.
