Destination Guide

Australia offers strong opportunities for SAP consultants, data specialists, cloud professionals, engineers, healthcare workers, tradespeople and project leaders, particularly in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth and Adelaide. Workplace culture is generally practical, direct, collaborative and respectful of work-life balance. Lifestyle options range from vibrant city living and excellent restaurants to beaches, national parks, sport and outdoor travel. Living costs can be high, especially housing in Melbourne and Sydney, so salary and location should be considered carefully. Skilled professionals may explore employer-sponsored visas, the Skilled Independent visa, state-nominated pathways or regional programs, depending on occupation, qualifications, experience and points. Requirements change, so applicants should check the Australian Department of Home Affairs website or consult a registered migration agent. Relocating usually involves arranging health insurance, tax registration, banking, accommodation and proof of qualifications. Australian employers may also require local work rights and relevant professional checks.
